Sculptra Body in Sheffield

Collagen stimulation for the body

Sculptra isn't only used on the face. We can also use Sculptra on selected areas of the body where the skin has started to look looser, crepey or less firm.

Rather than filling an area in the traditional sense, Sculptra works by stimulating your own collagen production — the changes happen gradually, which is exactly why we like it.

About This Treatment

What Is Sculptra Body?

Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Once injected, it works within the skin to stimulate your body's own collagen production.

You won't walk out looking dramatically different — instead, the skin gradually improves as new collagen develops over the following months.

Benefits & Areas

What Can Sculptra Body Help With?

Depending on your suitability, we may use Sculptra to improve crepey skin, skin laxity, loss of firmness, skin texture, overall skin quality and areas where collagen has reduced.

It can be particularly useful when the concern is the quality of the skin itself, rather than simply wanting to add volume.

Your Treatment

What Happens At The Appointment?

We'll assess the area first and decide whether Sculptra is actually the right option. The product is then placed strategically throughout the treatment area — the amount needed depends on the size of the area, your skin and what we're trying to achieve.

Sculptra is usually planned as a course rather than a one-off treatment. The number of sessions and amount of product needed can vary quite a lot with body treatments, so we'll create your plan after assessing you.

Additional Information

Could Another Treatment Be Better?

Possibly. If your main concern is muscle tone, EMS Body Sculpt may make more sense. If we're looking at contouring or tightening, HIFU Body may be an option. For some clients, combining different treatments gives us a better approach because we're tackling the muscle, deeper tissue and skin separately — we'll only recommend what we think is actually worthwhile for you.

Body treatments need the same thought as facial treatments. We'll look at what's actually causing the concern before deciding what to treat — we're not going to recommend Sculptra if HIFU would suit you better, or HIFU when the issue is actually muscle tone.

Results, Downtime & Aftercare

When Will I See Results?

This one needs patience. Sculptra stimulates collagen rather than giving an instant filler result, so improvement develops gradually over the following weeks and months. The aim is for the skin to look firmer and better quality, not obviously "filled".

You may have some swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising around the injection sites. We'll give you full aftercare and explain what to expect before you leave.
