About This Treatment

How Does A HydroFacial Work?

HydroFacial combines several stages of treatment in one appointment. We work through the skin to cleanse, exfoliate and remove congestion before replenishing it with hydration and skin-supporting products.

The aim isn't to strip your skin — we want to remove what your skin doesn't need while putting hydration back in and supporting a healthy skin barrier. We don't believe a facial should simply follow the same steps on every client; your facial should fit your skin, not the other way around.

Benefits

What Can A HydroFacial Help With?

HydroFacial is a great option for:

  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Dehydration
  • Congestion
  • Blackheads
  • Enlarged or blocked pores
  • Uneven texture
  • Excess oil
  • Dry or rough skin
  • General skin maintenance
  • Getting your glow back before an event

Your Treatment

What Happens During Treatment?

We start by thoroughly cleansing the skin and removing the build-up of dead skin cells from the surface, revealing fresher-looking skin underneath and preparing it for the next stages.

If congestion and blackheads are a concern, we focus on areas such as the nose, chin and T-zone — the HydroFacial system lifts impurities and excess oil from the pores without the aggressive squeezing sometimes associated with traditional extractions.

Once we've cleansed and exfoliated, the focus turns to putting hydration back in — this is what gives HydroFacial that lovely fresh, plump and dewy finish. Your skin should leave feeling comfortable and hydrated, not tight and stripped.

Additional Information

Is HydroFacial The Right Treatment For You?

HydroFacial can be a great treatment for congested and acne-prone skin, particularly when blocked pores, excess oil and uneven texture are concerns. However, if your skin is very inflamed, sensitised or your barrier is compromised, we may adapt your treatment or recommend one of our Barrier Repair Facials instead — these focus on calming, hydrating and supporting the skin rather than stimulating or exfoliating it. Knowing when not to use stronger treatments is just as important as knowing when to use them.

If you're looking for hydration, deep cleansing and an instant glow, HydroFacial may be exactly what your skin needs. If we're trying to improve deeper acne scarring, significant pigmentation, skin laxity or more advanced signs of ageing, we'll probably recommend something different — such as microneedling, RF microneedling, BioRePeel, CO2 laser or an injectable skin treatment — and explain the difference to help you choose.

HydroFacial can also work well as part of a wider skin plan alongside treatments such as BioRePeel, microneedling, skin boosters, Rejuran polynucleotides, Hydromax, RF microneedling or barrier repair treatments. These do different jobs, so we'll plan them at appropriate intervals rather than doing more to the skin simply for the sake of it.

Results, Downtime & Aftercare

What Should I Expect Afterwards?

One of the reasons we love HydroFacial is that there's usually little to no downtime. Your skin may look slightly pink immediately afterwards, particularly if we've worked on congested areas, but this usually settles quickly — most clients leave with skin that looks cleaner, brighter and more hydrated.

HydroFacial is one of those treatments where you'll usually notice a difference straight away: brighter, smoother, fresher, more hydrated skin. For longer-term concerns such as congestion or dehydration, regular treatments alongside the right home skincare can help maintain your results.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have a HydroFacial?

This depends on your skin and why you're having the treatment. Some clients come to us for an occasional skin reset or before an event, while others include it as part of their regular skin maintenance — we'll recommend a schedule based on what your skin actually needs, rather than telling everyone they need a facial every four weeks.

I have an event coming up — can you help?

Yes — HydroFacial is a lovely option when you want your skin looking fresh, smooth and hydrated ahead of an occasion. If you have a wedding, holiday or special event coming up, let us know when you book so we can advise on the best timing and avoid introducing anything new too close to the day.

Is there any downtime?

Usually little to no downtime — your skin may look slightly pink immediately afterwards, but this typically settles quickly.
