At Saints, we use STYLAGE® by VIVACY hyaluronic acid dermal filler for our lip treatments. We choose the most suitable product from the STYLAGE® range depending on your natural lips and the result we're trying to achieve — whether that's soft volume, improved definition, better symmetry or a combination.
It's never about simply putting 0.5ml or 1ml into every lip. The product, amount and placement are chosen specifically for you — we want your lips to suit you, not to create the same shape on every client. Good lip filler should enhance your face, not change it.

What Happens During Treatment?
We'll start by looking at your natural lip shape, symmetry and how your lips sit within the rest of your face, and talk about what you like, what bothers you and what you'd like to achieve. Once we've agreed on a plan, filler is carefully placed into the areas where it's actually needed — the technique and amount used will be individual to you.
There isn't one answer for everyone on quantity: some lips only need a small amount to make a noticeable difference, others may benefit from 1ml or from gradually building over more than one appointment. If we think 1ml is too much for your lips in one session, we'll tell you — we'd much rather build a beautiful result gradually than put too much product in simply because that's what was booked.
The lips are naturally a sensitive area, but we do everything we can to make treatment comfortable. Numbing is used beforehand and the filler itself may also contain local anaesthetic — most clients describe it as a little uncomfortable rather than painful.

Sometimes Filler Isn't The Whole Answer
Not everything clients dislike about their lips needs to be treated with filler. Sometimes we may suggest a lip flip alongside or instead of lip filler, particularly if the upper lip turns inwards or disappears when you smile — and if you show a lot of gum when smiling, we may also discuss gummy smile treatment. For some clients, combining treatments creates a much more balanced result without needing to add extra filler.
Having previous filler doesn't automatically mean you need to dissolve it. We'll assess what's already there, how it has settled and whether adding more product would give you a good result. If there's significant migration, excess product or the lip shape has become distorted, we may recommend dissolving before adding anything else — sometimes the best treatment is not adding more filler.
Results, Downtime & Aftercare
What Should I Expect Afterwards?
Swelling after lip filler is completely normal. Your lips may look bigger than expected initially, particularly during the first couple of days, so try not to judge your result straight away — you may also notice tenderness, bruising, redness or temporary unevenness due to swelling. Once everything settles, your lips will soften and the final result becomes much clearer. You'll receive full aftercare advice before leaving the clinic.
Lip filler typically lasts around 12 months, although this varies between clients depending on metabolism, lifestyle, the amount of filler used and whether you've had previous treatments. We don't encourage unnecessary top-ups — when you feel your lips are starting to lose their shape or volume, we can reassess and decide whether anything more is actually needed.
