We recommend avoiding alcohol for a couple of days beforehand to help avoid major bruising and swelling.

The filler needs a day or two to settle into position, so a few things help recovery go smoothly: avoid sleeping face-down or on your cheeks, avoid exercise or lifting heavy items for 24–48 hours, avoid hot showers or washing your face with hot water (warm is fine), avoid pressure, harsh products or makeup on the area for 24 hours, avoid alcohol for 24 hours, and use an ice pack on the area if needed to help prevent swelling.
