Chin Filler in Sheffield
Subtle definition. Better balance. Still completely you.
Chin filler can make a surprisingly big difference to the overall balance of the face. At Saints Aesthetics, we use chin filler to improve shape, projection and proportion — not to create a chin that looks obvious or overdone.
Sometimes a small amount in the right place is enough to bring the whole lower face into better balance.

About This Treatment
How We Approach Chin Filler At Saints
We don't treat the chin in isolation. We'll look at your profile, lips, jawline and overall facial proportions before deciding where filler is actually needed. For some clients, a small amount of filler is enough — for others, we may suggest treating the chin as part of a wider facial balancing plan.
It's not about making your chin bigger — it's about making everything work better together.
Benefits
What Can Chin Filler Help With?
Chin filler can be used to add subtle projection, improve chin shape and definition, balance the side profile, improve facial proportions, lengthen the appearance of a short or recessed chin, improve mild asymmetry, add structure and support, and create better balance between the chin, lips and jawline.
It can work beautifully on its own, but we'll always look at your whole lower face before deciding what will suit you best.
Your Appointment
What Happens During Treatment?
We'll start with a consultation and facial assessment, looking at your chin from the front and side, as well as how it moves when you talk and smile. We'll discuss what you'd like to improve and whether filler, chin anti-wrinkle treatment or a combination would give you the best result. If chin filler is suitable, the product is carefully placed into selected areas using a needle and/or cannula — you'll usually see a difference straight away, although some initial swelling is normal.
At Saints, we use STYLAGE® by VIVACY hyaluronic acid dermal filler, choosing the most suitable product depending on your anatomy and the result we're trying to achieve — the amount used is individual to you, not the same on every chin. Most clients find chin filler very manageable: the filler may contain local anaesthetic and additional numbing can be used where appropriate, and while you may feel some pressure during treatment, it's usually fairly quick.
Additional Information
Pebbled Or Dimpled Chin
If your chin looks dimpled, puckered or has an "orange peel" texture, especially when you're talking or moving your mouth, filler alone may not give you the best result. This appearance is often caused by activity of the mentalis muscle, which can create that pebbled texture across the chin. In these cases, we often use chin anti-wrinkle treatment in conjunction with chin filler — the anti-wrinkle treatment helps reduce the muscle activity and soften the puckering, while filler improves the shape, projection and support of the chin. For some clients, one treatment may be enough, but when both muscle activity and lack of structure are contributing, treating them together can give a softer, more balanced result. We'll assess your chin both at rest and while moving before recommending what you actually need.
At Saints Aesthetics in Sheffield, we focus on facial balance rather than treating features in isolation. If we think combining chin filler with anti-wrinkle treatment will give you a better result, we'll explain why — and if you don't need filler at all, we'll tell you that too. Good chin filler shouldn't look obvious; your face should simply look more balanced.
Results, Downtime & Aftercare
What Should I Expect Afterwards?
You may experience mild swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising. The chin can feel slightly firm or tender for a few days while everything settles — we'll give you full aftercare instructions before you leave the clinic.
Chin filler typically lasts around 12–18 months, although this varies from person to person depending on the product used, amount placed, your metabolism and lifestyle. Rather than automatically topping up filler at a certain point, we prefer to reassess your chin and only add more when it's actually needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does chin filler hurt?
Most clients find it very manageable — the filler may contain local anaesthetic, with additional numbing used where appropriate, and treatment itself is usually fairly quick.
Can chin filler be combined with anti-wrinkle treatment?
Yes — if a pebbled or dimpled chin is caused by muscle activity, combining chin anti-wrinkle treatment with filler can give a softer, more balanced result than either treatment alone.
How long does chin filler last?
Typically around 12–18 months, varying by product, amount, metabolism and lifestyle — we reassess rather than automatically topping up on a fixed schedule.
