Anti-Wrinkle Treatments in Sheffield
Softer lines. Natural movement. Still you.
Anti-wrinkle treatment doesn't have to mean looking frozen.
At Saints Aesthetics, we focus on softening lines while keeping natural movement and expression. Whether you want to soften existing lines or simply look a little fresher, your treatment is planned around your face — not a standard injection pattern.

About This Treatment
What Is Anti-Wrinkle Treatment?
Anti-wrinkle injections use a prescription-only medicine, so before treatment you'll have a face-to-face consultation with one of our nurse prescribers.
Your nurse prescriber is required to see you in person, complete a clinical assessment and make sure treatment is suitable before prescribing. We'll discuss your medical history, look at your facial anatomy and muscle movement, and talk about what you'd like to achieve.
Your prescription and treatment plan are individual to you.
Treatment Areas
What Areas Can We Treat?
Forehead, Frown Lines & Crow's Feet
These are our most commonly treated areas.
We can soften forehead lines, lines between the brows and crow's feet around the eyes while still keeping natural expression.
We'll assess how your whole upper face moves before deciding where and how much to treat.
Bunny Lines
The little lines that appear at the sides of the nose when you smile or scrunch your face can be softened with a small amount of anti-wrinkle treatment.
Nose Tip Lift & Nasal Flare
If the tip of your nose pulls down when you smile or your nostrils noticeably flare with expression, carefully placed anti-wrinkle treatment can reduce the movement.
The result is subtle — it doesn't change the structure of your nose.
Lip Flip
If your upper lip curls under or seems to disappear when you smile, a lip flip can allow a little more of the lip to show.
It doesn't add volume like lip filler.
Sometimes we recommend a lip flip alongside lip filler when treating both gives a more balanced result.
Gummy Smile
If you show more gum than you'd like when smiling, we can treat the muscles that lift the upper lip.
Depending on your anatomy, we may also recommend a lip flip or lip filler as part of your treatment plan.
Pebbled Or Dimpled Chin
A puckered or "orange peel" appearance to the chin is often caused by an overactive mentalis muscle.
Anti-wrinkle treatment can relax this movement and smooth the appearance of the chin.
We often use this in conjunction with chin filler when the chin also needs more projection, shape or support.
Downturned Mouth
If the muscles around the mouth pull the corners downwards, small amounts of anti-wrinkle treatment can help soften that downward pull.
Sometimes filler may also be recommended depending on the cause of the concern.
Platysmal Bands / Neck Bands
Vertical bands through the neck can become more noticeable as the platysma muscle contracts.
Anti-wrinkle treatment can help relax these bands and create a smoother, more relaxed-looking neck. In some clients, reducing the downward pull of the platysma can also subtly improve the appearance of the lower face and jawline.
If loose or crepey skin is the main concern, we may recommend a skin-tightening or skin-quality treatment instead.
Masseter & Jaw Clenching
Anti-wrinkle treatment can also be used in the masseter muscles for clients concerned about jaw clenching, teeth grinding or a strong, square-looking lower face.
Because this requires a different assessment and treatment approach, you can find more information on our dedicated Masseter Treatment page.
Excessive Sweating
Anti-wrinkle injections can also be used to help manage excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
This is very different from facial anti-wrinkle treatment, so we cover it separately on our Hyperhidrosis Treatment page.
Brow Lift
A subtle brow lift can help open up the eye area and create a slightly more lifted, refreshed look.
Small amounts of anti-wrinkle treatment are carefully placed around the muscles that influence the position of the brows.
The result should be subtle; we're not trying to dramatically change the shape of your brows or give you a permanently surprised expression!
A brow lift can be treated on its own or as part of your wider anti-wrinkle treatment, depending on your facial movement and anatomy. We'll assess your brows and eye area first, as not everyone is suitable for this treatment.
The aim: a fresher, more open eye area while still looking like you.
Your Treatment
What Happens During Treatment?
Once you've had your consultation and treatment has been prescribed, small injections are carefully placed into the selected muscles.
Treatment is usually quick and most clients find it very manageable.
We don't use the same dose or injection pattern on everyone. Your anatomy, muscle strength and natural facial movement all influence your treatment.
Honest Advice
Sometimes Anti-Wrinkle Treatment Isn't The Whole Answer
Not every line is caused purely by muscle movement.
If we feel your concern is more related to skin quality, volume loss or laxity, we may recommend another treatment or a combination approach.
This could include Hydromax, skin boosters, polynucleotides, microneedling, RF microneedling, chemical peels or dermal filler.
We'd rather recommend what your face or skin actually needs than simply add more anti-wrinkle treatment.
Results, Downtime & Aftercare
When Will I See Results?
Anti-wrinkle treatment isn't instant. You'll usually begin to notice a change within the first few days, with your result continuing to develop over the following couple of weeks. Results commonly last around 3–4 months, although this varies between clients and treatment areas.
Downtime is usually minimal. You may notice small red bumps immediately after treatment and occasionally some mild redness, tenderness or bruising. We'll give you full aftercare advice before you leave.
A review appointment is included and takes place 14–21 days after your treatment. This allows us to see how your muscles have responded and make sure we've achieved the right balance for your face — if an adjustment is clinically appropriate, we can discuss this at your review. Reviews must take place within the 14–21 day review period.
